How can you make a D-Link wireless card works on Fedora 6?
I have the CD with the drivers but they are not for Windows to Linux. How Fedora 6 to recognize my wireless card. See that's what I hate Linux, I would like things could be easier. In 2007, Linux can not recognize a wireless card.
In 2007, companies still do not write Linux drivers for wireless cards. To use it, you should probably install ndiswrapper: ndiswrapper http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/joomla/ then use the Windows drivers for your wireless card to run it under Linux. If This is a new card, I would go back and say it is defective, and buying a card from a manufacturer that supports Linux, like Linksys or Atheros.
