Ultra Noise

2000 Kawasaki Ultra 150 1200cc?
I rode the ski and the engine sounded like it was being choked when I accellerated. After about 30 minutes of this I heard a loud crunching noise from the engine compartment. I immediately turned skiing off. A few minutes later I started skiing. Engine ran well, but even at 4000 rpm will not ski 4-6 MPH.
Could have picked up something in the jet drive. Suggest taking it to a marine shop for Kawasaki to watch. Good Luck
