best way to produce professional wall calendars?

Has anyone produced photo wall calendars? I do not mean, as inkjet-printed, bound spiral-family calendars to give at Christmas. I mean like big you buy in a store. This is a way profitable to do this with good results? Let's say I want to print 500 calendars and sell them to tourists. Ditto for the posters, my photography is to say of a city or work on the landscape. Thank you!
