Ipod Iphone Cd

Is iphone compatible with ipod ready car cd players with usb?
Can i use my iphone with those car cd players with usb which are Ipod ready and can control Ipod. And will the phone be charging when I plug it to the car cd player's usb port.

not to sure about the charging (most likely will be) but yes the iPhone is computable as it has the standard iPod connections.
