Is it legal to film in a store?

I was just wondering, can I legally go in, say, an audio 7 / 11 or Walmart and film and video in a state with an audio recording consent of the parties? I think it is correct, because they are public places. Do not tell me that stores like these are not public places, as they actually are. Please include a source. "A public place is generally an area in or outside, whether private or public, to which the public have access as of right or by invitation, express or implied, whether by payment of money or not, but not a place when used exclusively by one or more persons for a private meeting or other personal purposes "-. http://definitions.uslegal.com/p/public-place/ I think it would be legal as they are, you shoot without her consent. (Security cams) I know they can evict you for doing so, but can they enter the camera, or make you pay for it, is my question.

You are factually correct on the basic premise, but you are wrong in so many other things I do not even know where to start. It would be perfectly legal to go and someone to tape in a store. This is a public place, after all. It would also be perfectly legal for the store to evict you for it. This is a private company, after all. You seem to imply if a certain place in a public place, you are free to do what you love to do there as long as it's legal. It is not, in fact, how it works. You are generally free to worship in public places, but if you try and throw a revival in the target will be removed. You are usually free to petition and seek people in public spaces, but you can not do it in a store or private. Shops are allowed to video tape you because most of the laws relating to persons registration without their consent are limited to audio recordings without their consent. It is also Their store so they have the right to do what they want there. You do not have the same right because it's not your store. ADD: They can not take your camera, but they could probably remove the card from the film / memory and there's not much you can realistically do about it. Whether you may be accused of something, it is possible that you could. Different states and territories have different laws about these things and it is entirely possible that what you plan to do is actually illegal where you live.
