Cdp Disc Changer
How can I fix my Sony 300 CD changer?
The model number is CDP-CX355 and he is approx. three years. The arm that loads the cd the position of the CD and packing will not locate it correctly. It tries to load a couple of times and then starts the cd table. I tried unpluging but it does not correct the problem.
My first question to you is did you fall? Second question is do you have a small putting their fingers in everything? Fortunately for you what seems to be a mechanical problem with the CD changer arm. With the power off, open the door and take the CD manually every CD. Go find a flashlight and shine that sucker in the Bay of CD and check the loading arm. Is there something caught in it? A hair, dust, lint, Broken a CD, even some might stray packing materials because of its return path sufficient to interfere with loading arms. Once again Perhaps the small could throw a penny from it or you find something something. If it out. Check to see if maybe something is caught in the carousel, too. Load a CD and turn the power on. The bay door is closed the light flashes and then goes to the carousel is on the CD. Right? Okay now reload all the CDs back in. pain in the neck I know especially if you've labeled your CD. Try it now. If this does not what the bro-Sorry it did for me. You can have broken a slot in the carousel and must be replaced or another issue altogether. If so, you may need to be repaired. At the least you can now tell them what is wrong with it. Good luck. PS. Mine still works great.
