Mp3 Power Amp

I want to use an MP3 player to an amplifier parts for my car. Amp has no on / off switch. How do I activate amp?

There are 3 positions for the power amp - 12V, REM (remote) and ground. Can I bypass the remote control or some trick of the amplifier to think it on? Once it's on, I can turn it off? Would it work to put an inline switch on the power cable? I will use my car sterio at all - it does not even work.

All you have to do is give the REM (remote) 12 volts when you want and nothing on when you want it off. Simple as that. Put a switch in the line of wire REM, whatever you run towards it, just remember to disable it.
