Theater Subwoofer
Multimedia Subwoofer connection with home theater?
I obtained a Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 Subwoofer System and the control module. I wondered if anyone knew if I was able to connect to my home theater system? I have a Sony 5.1 channel receiver. The rear Subwoofer has taken mini to connect to your computer and media card also taken for the satellite speakers. Any help would be great!
If your Sony amplifier or receiver like mine then it should have 5 Pre Out RCA jacks on the back, which are designed for sending unamplified sound to another amp to do the job instead. So you should find that if you have three (?) In jack taken on the mini-surround system, you can connect three cables, each of them would need a mini-jack end and two standard RCA on the other. But if you have a Sony 5.1 receiver surely you will get better sound quality a lot from him and separate speakers, anyway?
