How do you install 4 32ohm speakers and 1 speaker 8ohm to match a single entry 4ohm?
I have an Ampeg SVT 8x10 cab Somone who have moded 4x10 and 1x15, I want to maintain the standard SVT 4ohm so I need to know how to wire up. Any infromation would be awesome. Thank you, Dan
Wholesale speakers are like resistors, ohms law to come into play. If you connect two 32 ohm speakers in parallel, then the impedance the pair is 32 / 2 = 16 ohms. Connect three in parallel, you will get 32 / 3 = 10.7ohm Connect four in parallel and you get 32 / 4 = 8 ohms. Connect Four parallel 32 ohm in parallel with the speaker 8 ohm load and the resultant was 8 / 2 = 4 ohms.
