Would loud speakers deteriorate much over 12 years?

As my Peugeot 306 was made in 1996, I upgraded the radio-cassette radio / CD player and Peugeot have replaced the door speakers before the originals were damaged premises. Therefore, I ask myself now is a replacement value of the speakers rear parcel shelf, so even if they are not damaged for all purposes and sound. £ 40 or if you buy on the secondary market place. However, I would repeat units tail cone speaker if someone can tell me if speakers replacement will definitely improve the sound quality? Proof please! Cheers

If you enjoy a good sound, spend the £ 40-odd a decent pair JBLs or cost you anything. For one thing, the speakers fitted as original equipment on cars, especially a cheap car like a Peugeot, are never that great to begin with. Secondly, after 12 years of vibration and humidity, Paper cones are not working at their best. I replace the speakers in each car I get, usually cost less than 100 euros for Lot, doors and rears, and the difference is incredible!
