Digital S / PDIF (RCA Interconnect) for analog audio?
Interesting situation here. I try to connect an A / V source to my TV HD. My HDTV is connected component (YPrPb), as my source, so fortunately I'll be able to transfer high definition video signals. But here's where things get difficult. My A / V source has an S / PDIF in the form of RCA interconnect (http://www.hometheaternetwork.com/HTN_audio_I3.htm # SPDIF). My HDTV, on the other hand, has only one Left and Right analog audio inputs combined with the video component (http://www.hometheaternetwork.com/HTN_audio_I4.htm # Analog). I'm not quite sure why you would pair RCA analog audio input with very good video, but this is not the issue ... My question is how could I go from the digital S / PDIF for audio analog?
It is very difficult to believe that your mystery source AV has only one digital output, no analog output. To do true digital decoder you need an AV receiver.
