What and where to buy a turntable that will play 78s?

Looking to buy a turntable capable of playing discs 78 and also that I can connect surround sound system. Turntables older seem a little responsibility, and new cost a fortune. There are many USB ones near (I do not want to tear the vinyl, but they have the speed to 78) but I have the impression that the sound quality is not so good. I do not want to spend more £ 150. What and where do you suggest?

Your price is a bit of a limiting factor, since you need to buy a cartridge out of this budget too except if that comes with the platinum has a stylus 78 available as an option. I agree with the answer to that old b pre-war 78s can sound really good on an old gramophone too authentic (NOT Play Post-war 78s on a gramophone, however, they were not designed for that). Unfortunately Most phonographs that you see in flea markets are rotten fake reproductions between 1970 and 1980 that will ruin your records and his terrible (google "crap-o-phone") and those who are genuine in any kind of working order tends to cost an arm and a leg - certainly much more than £ 150!
