How do I connect my surround sound system with DVD player base?
Right now I have my surround sound system connected my Xbox 360 ... but this does not play my burned discs ... really cheap but my DVD player reads ... How do I hook up the surround system to drive DVD, I need a cord of fantasy? Xbox came with the cord and all I had to do was plug it in, This is now obtaining much too complicated for me to understand. any suggestions would be appreciated, and if you need me to elaborate .... Tell me what you know. It is a Boston Digital surround sound set and a DVD panisonic drive S1. Where can I get these cables, radio shack?
If you play only DVD discs, then you can connect the RCA cables (red and white) from the DVD player output to the receiver input. If you are looking for a sound digital surround sound from movies, you will need a digital coaxial cable or optical. If the DVD player is cheap, you might just have coax. Radio Shack or other electronics store will have the AV cables, you only need 2 connectors, red and white, not 3 (red, white and yellow).
