Donating microscropes or microfiche readers to a nonprofit.?

Hello everybody! I work with an environmental center for nonprofit Michigan. We seek to expand our offerings of outdoor education for schools in the region and one of the things we want to explore is how microscopic (and macroscopic) organisms in lakes, ponds and streams can be used as indicators of the health of a ecosystem. To do this, we need microscopes! Our goal is to get 10-20 "field" microscropes (small, easy to carry) for students carry with them. We also want a large "display" microscope to our lab so that we can work with people with disabilities visual - I was told the old microfiche readers work very well for that! Does anyone know of any person or organization that would sponsor what? We are looking for donations because of our budgetary limits. Also, anyone know where I might be able to find a microfiche reader or two? It would be a great help to make this program accessible to all students. Thank you for your time!

Since you're in Michigan, you should be in contact with St Mich, U Mich, and others. They have such equipment being surplused all the time. If like most of UNI, they have outreach programs school.
