What is the neighborhood "theory of wavelength" regarding the acoustic impedance matching?
I refer to a situation where I have a piezoelectric crystal which produces ultrasound to be transferred into a tube containing water. Between the piezoelectric tube and there Aquart layer corresponding to the wavelength that is apparently there for the transfer of best enrgy. I wondered why we need this layer to be 1 / 4 wave and not 1 / 2 or 1 / 3 or something else instead
Say you have a resonance tube and a tuning fork vibrating on her mouth. Over there are two restrictions on the sound waves will be reflected in the tube that can be heard: - 1. There must be a node at the bottom of the tube (the surface water) - 2. There must be a belly just above the rim for us to hear it vibrate.
