Should I buy a good guitar amp head or first guitar?
I am an intermediate guitar player and I have a good guitar and amp combo. I want a Mesa Dual Rectifier head and an ESP SV Standard. I only enough money for one. Which should I go first?
Without notice I believe your choice, I'd say you should get a good first guitar. Of course, it really depends on the appropriateness of your existing equipment is now. Assuming you can get by with both your existing guitar and amp, I would go for the guitar of your choice. Ampere come and go, but your guitar is your lady. It inspires you. You caress with your hands. The amp is just a skirt that makes her look (or sound) good. Find a guitar that makes you feel good and stay with it. And for the love of God, do not choose for her looks alone. Go to a real guitar shop, and play it. Make sure it is. No mail-order brides, please! (sorry Musiciansfriend!)
