Boeing 747-400ER, Boeing 767-400ER, Boeing 777-200LR and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft are powered by GE and the 747-8 will be powered by GE.
Your Question looks like an ad for GE. Do you work for them? Engine Many companies specialize in specific markets and in collaboration with manufacturers specific. Boeing and GE have clearly a strong relationship. However, RR also provide some of the biggest engines in the market and are the preferred choice of Perhaps some of the world's most successful (British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Qantas). U.S. airlines are more likely to choose GE engines because GE is an American company. In addition, as Boeing has become less profitable over time, they seek partners to collect a portion of the cost development of new aircraft. IAE, Pratt & Whitney and Rolls Royce are still somewhat neglected by Boeing for their historic links with Airbus, McDonnell Douglas and Lockheed. However, on occasions when Boeing dropped the prejudice he has produced some of their best results. The 757 still holds the most records performance for single-aisle with RR RB211 engines, but with a power alternative, it could be a dog. P & W now specialize in the engine turboprop advanced and smaller (the kind you find on regional jets). RR have become the engine of choice for end higher market business aircraft and continue to produce a higher end, more innovative in other market sectors, IAE engines produce the more effective for the single aisle market for mid-range aircraft and the market wide body lighter. I think it's a case of horses for courses. I am also concerned that you included in your example 2 of 5 aircraft that are not likely to be mass produced longer and never May come off the drawing board. If I were an investor GE, I think I'd be concerned they had all their eggs in one basket a little wobbly.
