How long is the CD / DVD last before information about his disappearance?
I recently took the old CD-ROM with games from 1996-1998, and they do not work, even if I left without scratches or dust on the CD container.
It is dependent on the environment, use, abuse, etc. They tend to be durable. Manufacturers estimate the disk will retain data for over 75 years, the care provided are taken in the handling of records. (Yes, 75 years). The problem we face today is that there is no verification for this Seeing that "recordable CD" are available commercially for a little more longevity than a decade, so this length has yet to be seen. Even if I have multiple disc that is about 8 years that still play very well.
