A company may require direct deposit or credit card and refuse to issue paper checks?
For HR / Payroll / People Name: HR news about our company / payroll provider said they do not control the paper. They only use direct deposit or a payment card (debit card that we sent you, then load your pay each period.) It seems crazy to me, like every situation direct deposit, I have never been sent a check stub pay a little thingie canceled check forgery reflects my dd my payslip ...... so they print and mail it, but no real control?? Our employees are scattered all across National, so we sent this information by email. We can not just run up and discover why this is. Is this legal? I DD and use, but some of my colleagues do not. Can they force you to use such a system? Just curious .... thank you in advance for answers!
This is very legal. Everyone had jobs that I was switched to direct deposit and there is no choice. It is much simpler this way but it is painful sometimes.
