How do I connect my xbox 360 to my HDTV and my Bose Dolby Digital Surround Sound Media Center?
Ok .. that cables you are using .. Note: I am assuming that the Bose system can accept fiber optic .. audio input for component (first link for the component cable) You want to connect the red / green / blue cables for the RCA connectors to match your television .. red plug you want is one In the same series as the green and blue .. not the one with the white cable (look at how the cables are connected and you see what I mean) .. you need set your TV to the input channel that corresponds to the label by where you plugged the cable in.. On the cable plug on the Xbox side there is a marked switch SD / HD .. set this to HD (you may need to start with SD until you not the final step below, then switch to HD) .. Also on the same cable plug is a fiber port .. you must purchase a fiber cable optical audio and run it from that port fiber optic fiber optic input port on your Bose system .. be sure that the Bose system is set on the same channel as the entry is marked .. you should be good to go .. for HDMI (first link for the HDMI cable) HDMI kit for the 360 has 2 cables .. the current HDMI cable and a short cable adapter Audio .. Getting the HDMI cable from the HDMI port on the Xbox (its the small sub connector Normal AV) for .. HDMI input on your TV set your TV to the HDMI input .. Then, plug the audio adapter cable Harbor .. Xbox 360 AV there is a fiber port on the cable end audio adapter .. you must purchase a fiber optic audio and run it since this port fiber optical fiber optical input port on your Bose system .. be sure that the Bose system is set to the same channel entry is marked .. you should be good to go .. Next: On the Xbox .. Go to the System> Console Settings> Display> HDTV Settings .. Select the highest video resolution supported by your TV (the lowest in the list, the better) .. Xbox 360 can output all resolutions through component or HDMI (up to 1080p) .. The only exception is that some 1080p TVs (most TVs and Sony) are not admissible 1080p over component in this case, your best option to use if you want HDMI 1080p .. or set the resolution to 1080i if you need using component cables ..
