How to improve PC? just bought it?

I had my pc for a couple of months, I am very happy with it, but it seems to work a bit slow when I play, I play games, simulation games and online games, it sometimes becomes a bit Glitchy and briefly freezes here is my system Compaq Presario 061 Model No. so13wm sr re468aa na680 amd athlon 64 proc 3800 + windows xp mmx 2.4 GHz motherboard ASUS Naos-GL6 Pro A8M2N it (naos] HDD 160 GB SATA 512 vavidia memory G Force 6600 DAC type intagrated MEM 256MB Sound Card Realtek HD DVD RW Drive Air dlink 802.11 a / b Wireless ADPT a3ab i know some of which PPL Like PCs HP but I havnt had any problems other than this if some of what seems false impression that it is just that I'm coppying HP website, it does not make much sense to me there is nothing I can do to improve the game im trying not to spend a fortune, and if someone can tell me if motherboard comp is Intel dual core i cannot make heads or tails website thank you for the help

To summarize ... You are 512 MB of RAM ... up 1 GB minimum, you're using integrated graphics .... you should not do that. Basically, 1GB of RAM is minimal for most games today and integrated graphics are only intended to be used for "average" PC users who use computers only for e-mail word processing, Internet and online videos such as YouTube. For someone like you, a video card is best suited. If possible, get a PCI or AGP video ... Depending on what your computer can handle (you must open the case). If you have all the white slots and only PCI, if it is white but is a little brown then it is AGP, which is better.
