In-ceiling question the system speaker?
Im hanging a ceiling speaker system in my new home. I ordered 6 speakers 5 volume knobs, wall, and a 6-Pyle PSS6 Pair Speaker Selector High Power Stereo. I thought I did everything I necessary, because the site said it was a kit house full "which had everything he needed. But the more I look around, I do not need a stereo amplifier to power the speakers??? I do not think the speaker selector is also an amp. My question is, can I use CD player to hang in the old selector speaker and use the power of my CD player? Or can I use my home theater surround player DVD, valued at 1000 watts speakers? Or should I just buy a stereo amplifier??? Thank you for your time. PS I'm looking for some something cheap, around $ 100, if possible. Thank you.
You need an amplifier to run these speakers. It is possible to connect the speakers up to a stereo amplifier base as PCA1 Pyle (link below), or a receiver more sophisicated stereo / amplifier a Yamaha RX-397 (link below). Most people, however, the hook speakers to a home theater receiver for use with surround sound From movies, music CD or your iPod. An example is the Yamaha HTR-6230 (also link below) If you do choose the road home theater system to avoid home theater low price comes with its own speakers. You do not need speakers, and hooking your speakers to the ceiling can be very difficult.
