How to replace a suspended ceiling with a ceiling regularly?
We have a medium size room (about) 12 by 16. There is a ceiling Super Drop ugly as we'd like to replace. There are about a foot of space between the ceiling and the initial drop, with a pipe running along one wall. I know he are a million variables with things like that, but I was wondering if someone could give me an approximate price for the work. We have no money now, but I do so in the near future, and I wanted to get an idea of how well we might have to spend (keeping in mind that we should get more for unforeseen issues). Thank you!
Variables aside, 6 sheets of 4x8 "drywall. 1 / 2 "thick when joists are 16", 5 / 8 "if the joists are 24" cc (assuming $ 5 per sheet. Fixings Drywall $ 5. Band and drywall compound, putty knife, another. $ 30 Lineman pliers to remove the son of suspension for false ceiling, $ 10. Variables: jump leads boxout or (if the wall) Maximum size between the ceiling joists insulation (while remaining open ...) ceiling fan / light fixture (while remaining open ...) Sub-contractor to paint ceiling texture function
