Is it possible to know if T-belt has been replaced in a Honda Accord?

I made a pre-used Honda Accord EX (Manual - VTEC) model 1996 from a broker 94k miles. Is there a way by which I can know if T-belt replacement was made by the owner precedent? I asked the dealer to check with the previous owner, but somehow they failed. I also got an inspection from a buyer Auth. Honda, but they believe it should be replaced if not made by the previous owner.

do not believe that the mechanics have told you. The best way u can do is watching belt. it could be on the left side of the engine. and since the 1996 I guess this will not cover on it .... if not then its gonna be pain in the butt. get the lid and watch the belt ... If you see ANY cracks which can be either very small or clearly visible (if in poor condition) then gets changed. It also looks East (not edges) of the belt. If you see the middle part of the belt type of faded thats not a good sign not more. East by i mean ... through out the belt in the middle. not left not right. the middle ..... not the center.
