How can I get 5.1 Dolby Digital from a blu ray player with a separate amplifier?
This is my set up yet .. I have a 1080p LCD TV that is connected to a Sky Plus Box via scart and a Panasonic 5.1 surround sound. When I bought the tv i got Blu-ray included as a package. My Panasonic DVD player and sky box runs in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround. (It took Panasonic DVD with 5.1 surround sound for 2 months now) Just got the lcd and blu ray 1 week ago) How can I connect my Blu-ray if I can get 5.1 surround sound without having to buy a separate amplifier. I have 3 HDMI ports on the TV ... 1 HDMI on Blu-ray. HDM and 1 on the Panasonic DVD player like the Panasonic has 5.1 surround is already a way to connect the Blu-ray player on TV or DVD player so I can use the internal amp 5.1 on the Panasonic to get 5.1 sound through the Blu-ray. Would appreciate know any help. Thankyou TV is a Sharp Aquos 1080p LCD Panasonic DVD with 5.1 surround more sky box and Sharp Aquos Blu-ray.
Check if your DVD player Panasonic (Home Theater) has a digital audio port (accessible AUX). If yes, connect the digital audio output of BD to that input and you're all set. (hopefully the two game ports (or both optical coax). If not, you will need to purchase a separate AV receiver.
